Looking for a performance chip 5.7L Hemi.
The only one I've been able to find online is http://www.autoanything.com/performa...A3637A0A0.aspx I'm wondering if anyone had a better one with more power/features or has experienced this one and can give me the pros and cons. Thanks alot.
An overwhelming majority here use the Superchips. Best tuner on the market at present, however, the company was recently bought out by a much larger company, and has made a series of REALLY bad decisions. The prevoius ownership made promises on where the product was going, kinda like "buy it now, about half finished, and as we finish the advertised features, you can download them for free".The new regime has halted ALL progress, basically leaving this thing unfinished. Features a lot of us bought this thing for and were promised, will never be available, instead they areturning there attention to a new line of tuner development, choosing to leave all who purchased the existing tuner for upwards of $500 with no recourse but to save up and purchase the new tuner, at more money than this one, with no apparent upgrade policy, nothing.
Just "thank you for purchasing our half finished tuner, now fork over $600 for our new, improved model with about 50% of the features we promised you would be installed on your old tuner, have a nice day."
My advice is to wait a little bit, tuners have been announced by Diablo (although it is experiencing multiple delay's with some pretty lame excuses) and SCT (This one shows great promise, IMO) which should be available in the next few months.
I continue to use mine until the SCT or Diablo are released and tested because it beats having no tune, and some of the features are really nice, it really firms up the tranny shifts, but with my list of mods,I need more and I was promised those features which I now need. I based my upgrades in part on what SC promised would be availabe to us as far as tunes. So now I feel cheated and betrayed.
Well anyway, now that I've vented, my advice again is to just hold off a little while and you can either get a much better tuner for about the same money as the current SC, or pick up an SC for peanuts on ebay, as I'm sure many of us will be dumping ours.

I have talked to a few guys that have the Bully Dog Power Pup for the 5.7l, and they have no complaints. From what I understand it does pretty much the same as the Superchips programmer but I dont have any experience with it, yet...[sm=happybounce.gif]
Who bought superchips? I admit I wanted some of the promised features but my main reason in buying one was for hp and mpg gains. Look at the bright side, if you drive 12 - 15k miles a year like the average American you will pay off your superchips flashpaq tuner in just over a year in gas savings alone.
I have the bully dog and love it. Does the same thing SC does and cost half of the SC new. I only benefit that I see that the SC has over the bully is that it is much quicker on the programming of the truck.
