The exhaust that you listed is not all that loud. I have the same one, and it sounds great at WOT, but really not as loud if you went another direction. Flowmaster is more of a driving exhaust, and the tone is kinda low. The 40 series mufflers are louder but for proper use of those, you need to go true duals as the single in double outs of the 40 series for the hemi are not recommended as there is to much back pressure and will hinder the performance end of the engine. This is taken directly from a Flowmaster tech. Now if you want loud, but the driveability when you want it, buy the exhaust you have listed, then buy an electric cutout to put on before the muffler. This way you can drive long distances without the drone of a loud exhaust but when you want loud, push a button and it is there. If you don't want to deal with a cutout, look into a corsa or borla exhaust. A little more on the price, but louder than a flowmaster.
Don't knock the motorcycle guy's. I can give you personal accounts of the "Loud pipes save lives." credo. I have had to blip the throttle a few times due to the driver of a car, or PICKUP, not paying attention. Now, that rant said, I do agree that there is a difference between loud and obnoxuious. When I got my Super 40 put on I had told the guy exactly that, I want a nice deep rumble but not obnoxious. Hell, I have neighbors that say they don't set there alarm clocks since I leave at 15 til 7 every morning and me starting my truck is enough. All I did was have the resonator and two mufflers cut out, then added the Super 40. Stock out, if it wasn't for the sound and sticker in the window you would never know it wasn't stock. Down the road may look into like a Borla Cat back system, but then again, not too concerned about performance. Why should I be concerned about 0-60 times and 1/4 mile slips when I am putting 35's and a 6" lift? Deep and loud go well with those. Remember, not everyone is looking to build a SRT killer!
