Is this available now? Very interesting. How much is it, will it be?

However, it doesnt say it works for 07 rams so it doesnt do me much good.

Any takers on my Superchips 3815! I am going to sell it!

I'm an SCT tuner. It supports '96 to '02 trucks of all engines, and 4.7 trucks up to 2006. The software had a glitch with the 2003 4.7 trucks and I don't know if they got that fixed yet. And in addition to that, I've not personallytested the '04 to '06 4.7 trucks yet. I'm waiting for KRC to test this if they can get a local truck to pull into their shop. I have started a group buy for $499 on these. They are not "canned tunes". The tuner is purchased blank and tunes written per pcm part number. Each one is custom made. It's full control over the pcm.

Hey Hemifever,
After discussing it with Marty, I've decided not to do the cam (KRC 210) until after the tuner is ready, as I won't have to use a piggyback. He also believes he can tweak the tune to dramatically cut down on the misfire CEL's. I'm dying to do this cam, it's my final planned mod of over two years of modding! So, what do you hear about a possible release date? My Superchips Flashpaq is a very good product, but with their about-face regarding custom tunes, I must look elsewhere. I'm already beyond the point of "canned tunes".
I also understand that the SCT does not do Tire Size Calibration. Is this correct? Any thought of adding it? I've returned my truck to stock four times to stock for the purpose of letting people I know with '05 & '06 Hemi Trucks try my Superchips for a day or two. Three of the four bought one and I know the big points they made were the firmer tranny shifts and the tire calibration. Even though I know you guys are more concerned with the tuning and custom tunes aspects of the product, I also knowthe speedo is gonna be athorn in the side for SCT if it's not there.
Oh, by the way, was that YOU that I quoted above?

I, for one, have major issues with Superchips. I continue to run with the product because to date, it's the best one out there. As soon as a viable alternative is out, I'm switching. Before I purchased it in August of 2006 I inquired as to the availability of certain features I was looking for, most importantly custom tunes and was told they would, without question, be offering custom tunes with a target date of late spring 2007.
I was also told some of the other features I asked about (EGR on/off and a couple others) were in the works and I should be able to download those in an update possibly in a month or two.
So, based on this information, (I still have all of this correspondence saved, BTW) I purchase the product.
Needless to say aftermonths, the few "easy to program" features I inquired about had not materialized, so I got on their forum and askabout them. I'm told,NOW GET THIS, "that all resources are on the custom tunes project, and as such, all else has been put on the back burner for a couple of months". I wait a few months and again inquire aswhen the few smallfeatures I was promisedwould move up from the back burner? I was told " they have actually moved from the back burner to off the stove".Next thing I read is a where they answeredsomeone'squestion regarding custom tunes with "we are currently not offering custom tunes and do not plan to do so in the future".

I hope that Diablo & SCT come out with products that blow the doors off Superchips and thatMSD ends up inreceivership, and out of business where they f ' ing belong! Next thing you know these bunch of lying as_holes will be running for public office!

That wasn't me, that was Josh aka EVERYONE. He's got a group buy going as well and his will last longer I think. Granted you'll probably go straight to KRC's shop and dyno tune your setup. I'd love to say the hemi release is right around the corner but after seeing the abuse that Diablo has received, I won't lay claims. lol. I will say that SCT has already cracked the NGC controller. They are now working around the ETC tables. They aren't doing the tuning, they are just providing us the tables to do tuning but they are trying to get the problem areas we might see when tuning. They are working hard on the hemi stuff and trucks are in their shop now being worked with.

Tire size isn't in the program right now. It will be, but not right now. I know that's an important one and I hope they get on the ball with it. Should be a simple thing. They are spending more time getting the main "tuning" tables out for us than the "fine details" like EGR delete, rear o2 delete, tire size, etc. But it's all coming. There are some misfire counter entries too that I'm looking forward to testing some value changes on. Might be able to extend the counters to where they reset before setting a CEL. If that works, then I'll be looking at a cam too. lol.

WHOA!!! This is getting pretty confusing and EXPENSIVE!![:'(] Its seems to be going from 300+ for the SC to 500+ for any of the others depending on group buys, etc. I know you get what you pay for so that is not an issue but it seems all the "chips" have their up and down sides. I guess the bigger question is what do I want to do with my truck. lol (tune for race, better mpg, tune for fun, better all around performance, etc)[sm=gears.gif]

If y'all are familiar with Airram, he's got a 2002 4.7 Ram. Here is what we've done with him:

Stock Tune:10.44@65MPH 1.99 60ft
Superchips: 9.91@69MPH 1.99 60ft
SCT Tune: 9.706@71.54 2.25 60ft

Look at the 60' on the SCT tune. He's having traction issues. Wait till we get that ironed out. I've even got one more trick to give him more power coming off the line.

I just want something that will tune my HEMI, not a 4.7, 5.9, etc that will do the job and I wont NEED to upgrade it next month because something better has come out I may just wait till the first of the year and see where dust has settled with Diablo and a few others.
