New to the Forum. EZ Down ?
Hey everyone. I just picked up a New 07 Ram 1500 Quad Cab with aHemi! I love this truck!!
Anyway, I got an EZ down system for the tailgate as the wife is scared to lower the tailgate due to it's weight. The install literally took about 10 minutes, but for the life of me, I couldn't get the tailgate to close, or if I did the cable would be sticking out of the back of the tailgate. Anyone have similar issues? I talked to EZ Down and they said it won't work on an 07. I can get it to work without a cable, but is that smart? Anyway, any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hahaha... It's a very cool device... I just wished it worked... Good luck with yours... although u probably won't need it. Set up was a piece of cake... getting it to work on an '07 I think may not be all it's cracked up to be.

Man, this site's the pits. I'll try this again...Did you remove the travel limiter for the tailgate cable? I had the same problem 'til I re-read the really poor-quality instruction sheet (fax of a fax of a fax of a drawing by a six-year-old). Remove the bolt holding the cable to the tailgate (same side at the EZ-down). Remove the weird-shaped washer gadget and re-attach the bolt. The cable will tuck in place nicely once you've done that.
