Default Spark Plugs

I'm going to install new plugs in my truck this weekend, I was told that the Champion Platiniums were the best choice for a 2004 Dodge Hemi. I'm leaning towards the Platinium over the double Platinium because I'm not sure for the price difference that it is worth it?

I'm just looking for some suggestions, or past experiences with these enginesor different types of plugsas this is my first spark plug change with this truck. My truck has 80,000kms (50,000 miles).

Stay away from them. Who told you that? That idiot at the auto parts store? I was told the same.

If you typed the word "Platinum" into the search function, you'll see a lot of people unhappy with the performance of Platinum plugs in the Hemi engine.

Best results seem to be with running Iriduim tipped plugs, or regular, plain old resistor plugs like the ones that came stock in it.

yeah platinum plugs in the hemi are bad, so dont waste your money....the best bet is just use the stock Champions, thats what i've always use and never had a problem

NGK 5306s in mine. Sure helped throttle response and mileage. (The fact the truck had 86K on the original plugs may have hurt the mileage a bit? )

Wow, I guess everyone agree's about the Platinums! I will look into a set of stock coppers or a set of Iridiums. Thanks for all the input.

Yep, all good advice. After you price them local, check out Rockauto.com , they have great prices and cheap shipping. When you do it, make sure you use a TQ wrench! Those Hemi heads are very picky about that. Plus, the factory doesn't use anti-seize, so neither do I.
