Default Installed Superchips

Installed the programmer today and was wondering if there is a waiting period before I feel the difference. I took it for a drive right after it was installed and it didn't seem like much of a difference.

I installed the performance tune with the custom tune, I did not change anything as far as the rev limiter or anything else, only what the program changed.

Do you think the PCM needs to be resetagain, I just did it about 2 weeks ago??

Thanks

it's possible if you don't have the right octane gas that the knock sensors could be pulling all of the timing that would have been advanced by the performance tune.

I installed mine today as well with 93 in the tank. Really not impressed with the performance gain, some but not as much as I thought. The CAI install gave me more. I also put my Magnaflow exhaust on yesterday.

Seemed to be going slower than the 58mph the speedo read, rpm's were at 1700, which it was prior to the flash. I set my 20's to 33" per the tire rack for my 275 60 20 tires. Either folks were in a hurry today, or my speedo may be off, everyone was passing me.

Did a 240 mile run todayputer's at 19.5mpg, so mpg is up almost 2 gallons, yes I selected performance not economy.

I plugged it back in to check the settings, is there a way to see that in fact it is set to performance, it says locked.

EDIT: I found the "VIEW" screen and it is set to performance 91

I'll take it out on a longer drive and see if I notice anything different.

I had a Hypertech Programmer on my old 04 ram that worked very well, but it did have intake and exaust. The same set up I have now, in fact I am looking for a programmer to use for my new used 03 ram.

Good Luck

I noticed the diffrence right away, Used the performance tune with all the defaults but i had to adjust for bigger size tires. I do have the CAI and a Borla dual exhaust.Im very happy with mines.
