CEL?
About 3 1/2 weeks ago my CEL came on and I took it to autozone and they tested it and said it was a inj. missfire and I shouldnt worry about it. Well the light went off about a day later and now three weeks later the light came on again this morning on my way to work. I am going to take it to Auto Zone the next chance I get to see if it the same thing If it is what could be causeing this? Also how can I stop it and should I be worry about it? I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 SLT package V8 4.7 lt.
Try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, maybe a dirty or clogged injector. I read a report on them ina 4x4 magazine probably 4 or 5 years ago and it gave the Chevron product the best rating, so I make it a point to get a bottle and put it in at every oil change, as it is also recommended at 3,000 mile intervals.
I had a hesitation in my '01 Hyandai (my daily driver, keep miles off my Hemi just going back & forth to work car) when I bought it used about 3 years ago w/38k miles on it. Put a bottle in the tank on each of my first 3 tanks of gas, problem gradually disappeared and midway through burning the 2nd tank it was gone. So it gets a bottle every 3,000 miles too.
And the tune up wouldn't hurt either, you never know when the previous owner may have done one.

Yea, I put a bottle of inj. cleaner in it once like the first time I flilled it up. So you think it may take a couple of more uses each tank and that might work. Alright thanks for the info. I will try to see if this solves the problem.
