Thanks for all the response guys. My truckcame with a non- functional hood scoop soI dont know if the owner took it off or ifhe change the whole hood. Im going to go to a yunk yard probably today to see if i can get one. From what I've heard it takes life from the paint on the hood because the extreme heat its subject to.

 

My almighty 3.7 did not come with it. Easier to wash if you ask me.

I don't think it'll shorten the life enough to be concerned with... You should probably spend your monies elsewhere... I'm sure your undercarriage will rot before the hood does....
