Looks like it would block airflow more than anything.

***.s. here, I read a link somewhere on this. They DO RESTRICT intake air flow! Freind of mine put one on his 4 cyl S-10. May as well have shoved a cut up coke can in there! Made NO difference at all. Not in power OR fuel economy. So I am VERY doubtfull the would do any good on a v-6 Ram. Just my $.02

OH, and FYI, he broke down & bought a VOLANT true cold air intake system. Was kinda pricy I thought, but Quality was 100% A+, looks very good when installed, and after a 2 week average, has gained a steady .75 Mpg increase. Like I said above, that is on a otherwise stock S-10. I think they would be the best choice for a Ram if you can afford it. (I cannot. Truck payments eat me alive as it is!)

Marv2 is right. They are junk. I used one in a Ford Taurus for 2 months, and my mileage dropped almost 10%. They aren't even a good paperweight either. Save your money and replace the Y pipe in your exhaust. That is a good investment.
