I just bought a 2008 Ram 1500 Hemi QC Laramie....love it to death. Quick question...I am looking at getting a fiberglass tonneau cover and was wondering how it works with that factory installed tailgate cover on there? Do they take that off? Also, I was looking at the Century brand. Are they a good brand? The Cargo cover is the one I like. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks!

i just bought an 07 sport QC.
I also purchased a cover, I went with the www.snugtop.com the SnugLid F2, it has a nice finish to it, and it does not have that ugly handle some have to open it.
It was worth the $$

Just upgraded to an 07 from a late 02 and the hard cover fits but you have to remove the gate protector. You will have to replace itto coverthe holes in the gate from the old protector. Best thing I added to the truck, helps mileage and keeps people out of my stuff.

The Jason "edge". Its 5 years old but the beds did not change so I went withthe life-time warranty and got the 2007 QC. Yes it has a lock but it just keeps honest people honest. If they want in its not going to slow them down.

they do take off the tailgate spoiler thing... but they replace it..
i got mine from topper king. love it
compared it to my friends, mine is so much easier to pull down and close.. also it's easy to open, his was kinda hard it didn't want to open unless you push down first then pull up on the latch.
he's my topper.
