Default Bullbars

Quick question, does anyone know if most bull bars are bolted or welded onto the frame of a dodge pickup?

Bullbars are bolted on. There are mounts that bolt to the frame and then you bolt the bar to the mounts. There are 2 different types that you can get. One has the mounts that bolt through the lower grill opening right above where your chrome bumper is. You can remove it or cut holes in it to allow the mounts to come out. The other has the mounts that come from under the bumper. This to you have to cut the lower air dam so mounts have clearance to pass through. Obviously, if you want to have a permanant attachment, you could always have them welded, but they are bolted for now for easy take off in the event of damage and replacement.

My Bull Bar on my '01 Dakota came with longer bolts that replaced the bumper bolts, and then 2 barckets attached the top of the bull bar to the frame. Nice and solid!
