squeak from the rear end
I need your help. I have a noise that I can only describe as a squeak I think is coming from the rear end. It is really annoying any time I go over a slight bump it squeaks. It sounds like it may be the springs.I say that because the only thing I can compare the noise to is the springs in an old bed.The only mod's that I have is a leveling kit in the back. I don’t think it is that, because I have had that for a month or two and my truck just started squeaking a couple of weeks ago.
Also, I have a bit of vibration in my steering wheel at about 60 MPH and it goes any at about 75??
Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks, Roly

Check your spare tire and see if it's loose and rubbing.. Vibration.. What year truck? Wheels out of ballance, water inside tire from dirty air compressor, worn ball joint, tie rod end, control arm bushings, tire seperating? Hard to tell.
I have a noise in the rear end somewhere too. Mine isn't a squeeky type noise, but something is loose. I've checked everything I could tug on underneath and checked the spare already, and can't figure out what it is. It only happens on bumps or rough roads. I hate to spend the time to take it to the dealer for it.
I'll tell you what it is, its your tail gate rocking.... Put a grease or thick lube onthebar the tailgate locks onto and other components of the tailgateand it should quiet up. Happens to me all the time with my 2007
