Default Hemi 392 stroker sts turbo help

Ok so I'm planning on stroking my 5.7 with a 392 stroker kit. I'm hoping theres somebody out there with some experience in this to give me some pointers. Also with the stock intake is it really worth the money to put a ported head on or just to some gasket matching and little port work on the stock head? ok I saw a post on sts problems which all sounded like normal to be expected messups so is there anything else i should know about that before jumping into that mess?

Only one I know with those kind of answers is Marty at KRC Performance. He hangs out at a forum called Bionic Dodge. As a matter of fact, that is where all the performance shop techs, owners, etc. tend to hang.Somebody'salways willing to answer tech type questions...

I just approved your account on Bionic.

It'd be killer. You won't be able to downshift into 2nd prime because of the massive tq that engine would be putting out. And a nice set of heads have proven themselves over and over to produce 20 to 35 hp depending on what is done. So they do work well with the intake. MOST of the port work is done on the exhaust. On the heads, the intakeflows so well, to get the exhaust/intake ratio % to where it should be concentration is done on the exhaust. I have 2.05/1.60 valves in my heads.

With that much power I would try to contact sharadon performance. They have a modified 545rfe that uses diesel clutches that is supposed to be a lot more durable than the stock trans. I know they've put that modified trans in some vehicles to test it out, and the initial results I heard seemed quite promising. I'm not sure if they are currently selling them though, or if they make them on a case by case basis.

Ya it looks like sharadon uses suncoast parts in the 545 So looks like i'll look into the parts as well I have e-mailed sharadon hopefully find something out from them. I'm running borla headers right now so I've got stock cats Should i look into aftermarket cats or has their been any flow problems with the stock set

Their previous build used Suncoast. The current build uses the clutchpacks from the 68rfe trans. They are single sided clutches and thinner. Sharadon was able to do much more with the trans using these clutches. It's also held up better than anything else so far.
