Default has anyone pulled the chrome clad off?

I have the 20" chrome clad wheels on my '07 Ram.

Does anyone have a picture of what the wheels look like with the chrome clad plastic piece removed? I am interested in a less bling look.

PS Does anyone have a set of 20" black steel wheels (like the spare)?

behind that chrome cladding is the same aluminum wheel like the non chrome clad twentires. I dunno if it's polished like the others but mebbe it is. So gay that they do that take a great wheel and put plastic on it.

I have heard of folks getting their rims powder coated. They have just about every color you can imagine.

You mean powder coat the wheel underneath, right? No the plastic cover?

I like the black wheels that helopilot did, but what's the longevity of the finish beofer it gets road rash and starts looking cheap?

I have 17" American Torque Thrust IIs on my 1971 Ford Shortbox Big Block, so I am kinda liking the idea of pulling the plastic off. I wish there was a picture out there...
