You have 2 choices. Either the Superchips or the Bully Dog Power Pup. Both do the same thing as far as programming. The plus of the SC is that it makes the shifting a little firmer than the BD and it is quicker for the truck reprogramming. The advantage of the BD is that you can find it around $150 cheaper (when buying new) and the computer updates are easier to deal with as you will have a program running on your computer looking for the updates, automaticllay updating and letting you know when there is an update.

Reading up on the superchips programmer it says it "can" save my factory settings, I figured the settings could just be reset and were still stored in my computer and does it give you an option to save them or can you inavertandtly erase fac settings..

What im getting at is if I save my factory settings on this superchips programmer and say I drop it and it breaks, Im SOL if I need warranty work and cant reset it and they void my warranty. Or are the F. settings stored in the truck so I could just purchase a new one if they cant repair it plug it up and auto reset my fac settings?

It actually loads the factory settings from the truck onto the flashpaq before allowing you to make change, so "can" equates to "does". Just did it with mine last week.
