Default Winterize?

I am starting a job that will provide a company car. That means that my 05 RAM HEMI will sit in the driveway all winter. It will be used for the weekends, but other then – do I need to start her up and drive her a few miles during the week also? What else can I do to help while it sits outside for the winter – any suggestions on a good cover to keep on it 24/7?

Dependshow you plan to drive it on weekends. I wouldn't start it up unless you plan a good 20 - 30 minute or more drive. If you don't drive that much on weekends and will not go through the gas in your tank in a month or two I would add some stabilizer to the gas to be on the safe side. I would definitelypurchase a good outdoor cover for the truck. Make sure it is soft and breathable so trapped moisture can escape. If you are close to an electric outlet putting a battery tender on there isn't abad idea, but really shouldn't be needed if you are just going from weekend to weekend.

Personally I would keep the gas tank as full as you can to prevent condesation in the tank.

Agreed. As was mentioned earlier, don't just start it up for a few minutes...take it out for at least thirty minutes. Fill the tank right back up before you park it again. First guess would be cover it back up while it's still warm. Not sure 'bout that. Just a thought.

Thanks guys ! Hemiyellow - what was the brand name on the cover? Im worreid about moisture sitting under it for weeks. "(found a heavy duty one thats designed for winter)". Theremay be time it will sit for maybe a month and not removing the cover.
