2007 Hemi QC MDS Shift points
Just did the PCM reset on my 07 Durango. Will see how she behaves in the morning. Thanks for this thread! I thought I was going crazy when I had my cruise set on 70! Up down... up down ... up down...
After the PCM reset still the same when cruising at 70 mph... rpms 1900... 2100.... 1950.... 2100....1900.............2000......2100..... etc. Very annoying... I just want to make sure that this was occurring BEFORE I had the muffler installed AND I want to rest assured that its not actually shifting gears. Please advise.

If you put the tow/haul setting on...is MDS off?? Please advise.

You should be running 89.
I have an 06 with magnaflow, now res/cats. You can hear the MDS, and it Does make the rpms go up, i dont care what anyone says
. You might be noticing that. i know my mds gicks in around 35-40 under no load, and it seems to in and out for bit, deciding if it can do it or not.

I was wondering why other Ram owners have been posting the necessary steps to make their HEMI non-mds and it costs thousands of $ to do so...why wouldn't they just hit the tow/haul button if that 'Deactivates' MDS. Or does not actually deactivate the MDS it just changes shift points or RPMS??
Also on the pcm reset... I pulled a specific fuse in the fuse box and then did the ignition key steps until I heard the two dings. That was suppose to reset the pcm...but didn't change anything with rpms fluctuating like crazy with my magnaflow exhaust.
kelwintodd Where did you see the 'official' dodge site that says to leave the battery disconnected for 2 hours? Others have posted that this does not work already.

ANYONE have any input to my question about the Tow/Haul option? Does that deactivate MDS? Also... I am wondering if Flowmaster or any other Exhaust company has resolved the 'drone, putt-putt' sound for MDS mode on Dodge Hemis? It was posted in an exhaust thread that someone said Flowmaster was aware of the issue and resolving it. Any updates on that?

Yea the RPMS deff get lower when its goes into MDS mode in my truck. You an def hear the 4 cyl sound and when you look at the tach...its drops at the same time.
As far as the tow/haul.....Yes when i tried it today it does not let the MDS turn on.

I have an 06...
MDS on = RPM's UP when engaged
Tow/Haul = No MDS, no 2nd prime, still o/d
O/D Off = No MDS, no o/d gears.
I tested today again, Cruising at 45 mph, when the mds kicks in, i see a 200=300 rpm increase, Click the Tow/haul and the mds shuts off, rpms drop again. Click o/d off, mds off, and it downshifts.
