sooo much work.... it would probaly be easier to just sell your truck and buy a hemi... plus the wiring nightmare between the engines and all that...

i agree...dont waste your money or stress yourself with trying to do this.....maybe if you had an old dodge truck (like pre-94 or later) it would easier, but still not that easy....just buy a hemi truck and save yourself the misery of trying it on your truck

stay with the 360, more user friendly to hop up with the bigger block, and this engine has been arround a verry long time, as mentioned, the elctrical is is going to be a night mare, along with the coumputer, transmison drive shaft, ect, I bet chrysler has a ready to go360 crate engine that will bolt right up ...

well ill go with a blueprint engines 408 c.i. short block assembly, hey i have one more question, i have an oil leak right below the passenger exhaust manifold on the last exhaust port, there isnt any blue smoke coming out of my exhaust, but my valve cover gasket is swollen, u think its time for a pcv valve? i bought this truck about a month ago, previous owner didnt maintain it well, no knock pulls strong, but the tranny twitches in overdrive and i have a p0601 code, do i need a new ecm?

I would like to know why you think it isn't that easy? Only components needed are the engine, tranny, wiring harness, all the accessories for the hemi and motor mounts along with the ECM. Anyone with experience could do it. Very little to no fabrication needed.
