Default Help! Too many options.

I'm fixing to switch over to synthetic oil. I've read alot on this forum regarding oil on this forum and am going with Amsoil. The thing is I dont know which oil to get. See pic below.
I run 5w-30 in it currently so I assume I should stick with that. I guess the XLF - XL 5W-30 series should be the one to get? While im on this issue of oil. I need to change out the rearend oil too. What do you recommend using from Amsoil?

It would be nice if all i had to do was enter in the specs of my truck so it would list the products related to my truck instead of diesels and stuff lol

We got some Amsoil peddlers (both folks who distribute and those that recommend it) here, so maybe one will chime in on which is best for your application. I used to use it in everything when I had a motorcycle, bass boat, etc. but after moving a couple of times I got away from it, as it got inconvenient to find someone to get it from without having it shipped.
I don't know how much better it may be than other synthetics, but I never had a oil related failure in anything I've had it in, so I guess it's at least as good as anything else...

Use the 0W-30 and the Severe Gear 75W-110. The XL oil is a short drain interval and the least preferred option.

I see. Thanks for your input guys!
I noticed the 0W-30 was just released October 1. Its $2 more per quart though than what tdmopar suggested and seeing as I'm in Texas I shouldnt need -60°F cold flow properties lol.
Placing my order today.

I have been using Mobil One for years without any problems. Whether it's the best or the worst on the market, I will not venture to say I am merely basing my love off of what works for me.

My recommedation for 0W-30 is not due to the cold flow properties. I recommended 0W-30 due to the best-in-class additive package that comprise that formulartion. It is AMSOIL's best gasoline engine oil, hands down. The 5W-30 is a great oil, but the 0W-30 is better due to its chemistry. The tech specs and details are on their website if you are curious about "why" it's superior to their 5W-30. It is the onlyoil I buy for my family's vehicles.

Iown a diesel pickup that I use the 5W-30 HDD oil and Severe Gear 75W-110. Mymileage improved over 8%.I've installed AMSOIL's by-pass filter kit, andmy oil wasstill very clean when I changed it at 11,000 miles. I only changed it because I'm heading to Iraq in DEC and did not want my family to have todeal with the filter change/oil sample while I was gone. Blah blah. Bottom line isthat AMSOIL'sproducts are the only product on the market that I've tried that actually did what it claimed. I don't change my oil as often and I am getting better mileage. That's money backin my pocket.
