I have a 2006 Ram Megacab with 31K miles. Took truck in today for driver side window failure. I got the call today that the window register had broken, and broke the glass. Good thing that the repairs were covered under warranty, because the price for the glass alone was $350.00. Service could not tell me why it broke, but I was just curious if others had expierenced same failure?

 

I will say no to the problem, but I only have 14k miles on my '06 and only have had it for around 8 months (I think).

I have little over 26k on my 2006 Ram with no electrical problems to speak of. Talked to many people prior to purchasing the Ram and none have said anything about window problems. As for my previous car (blazer) it was prone to having window motors go bad and I got to experience the replacement costs twice. After all was said and done I wanted to drive the blazer out into the Nevada test range and tell the Air Force they have a new practice target to bomb.

 

I replace a lot of window regulators in Chrysler products. Faltly regulators is common problem in every body in the product line.

 

Appropriate end for a product from the General. My Mom's '03 Buick LeSabre had a back window regulator fail to the tune of $510. Coulda gotten it done for less, but she likes to go to the stealership for everything.
