Default depreciation...

So i've managed to locate a Black 2007 Dodge Ram crew cab SLT with off-road package with hemi and tow package...It was a dealer Demo and has a little over 1000 miles on it...can anyone here tell me what i would be expecting to pay(dealer invoice price based on depreciation value, etc...)? I also have a deal to get 2% over invoice(which is being emailed to me along with pictures) since i'm a firefighter and the dealer is also a firefighter i could really use some advice cuz i dunno if i should go for this 2007 or for a 2008...i'm also interested in hearing if there are any concerns i should have for getting a 2007/2008 dodge ram...thanks in advance..
-Don

Since we don't know what's on it, it'll be difficult to say. Edmund's is a pretty good reference for pricing. The dealer will be hungry to get the '07 off the lot. You could probably get it for a grand off invoice, maybe better.

Dealers here are doing $6k+ rebates on remaining 2007 models.

considering i paid $24,000 for my '07 1500 QC 4x4 4.7 last month i would say no higher than that, only because it is "used" but it does have a hemi.

Another thing that you need to look at is warranty. Since the one truck was a demo, it might not be eligible for the lifetime warranty where as the '08 will. Other than that, lie Mike mentioned we need more input on what is all on the trucks and what are prices you are being quoted.

VALUED (msrp retail ) at 37000ish with the options,
Original Invoice is like 33-34,000...

Said he can get it to me with incentives + $2k trade in on my old truck for a little over $25k... I figure i can pretty much get that same deal on a 2008 right?

if i was in your situation i would work towards that 07 try and get a great deal... make sure it comes with the lifetime warranty..... knock some off for the demo, knock some off for the extra miles, knock some off for bein the year old model..... you should be able to get a much better deal on that 07 than an 08.... if you have no luck with the 07 than go for the 08...

any one know if there are any major noticible differences (in general) between the 07 and the 08?
