Default Exhaust ???

I'm thinking about changing my exhaust this coming spring, what would you recommend for a muffler magnaflow or flowmaster??? Also is it thinkable of a new exhaust system without changing the stock headers? Will I see a difference keeping the stock headers and if I do change them, how major of a difference will I see. Plus what brand do you recommend??

Exhaust Exit Which will look better, Dual Back or dual in front of back wheel???

Magnaflow has better flow/performance, Flowmaster has better sound (most think, anyway).

Nothing wrong with just doing a cat-back exhaust. However, headers do, without a doubt increase HP and fuel economy (if you can keep your foot of it!).

Exit is strictly personal taste. After stacks (which I would have if I had a diesel) my personal favorite is dual rear, but that's entirely up to you...

Well first, you gotta tell us what you are working with??

You do NOT have to change headers to put on new exhaust. You can do a Cat-Back which will bolt up right after your CAT's, or you can go to an exhaust shop and they can just cut your factory muffler, and weld on the new one.

I have a HEMI non-MSD, and I have a Single In/Dual Out Flowmaster 50 Series HD, It sounds AWESOME. Not not too loud at crusing, but when you get on the gas it says HEMI.

As for exit, that is completely up to you, I went with Dual exit behind rear tire, Stock location, but dual pipes with stainless tips. Personally, I think the exit in front of rear tire looks retarded. But thats my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own.

I just pulled up one of their ads online. " A resonated muffler designed to give significant performance benefits while maintaining stock or below stock sound levels"

Sounds like the perfect muffler........for my mom's mini van

+1 on ThaChad's response. Just put the 50 Series HD on my 07 QC Hemi and love it. MDS system isn't too bad with this muffler except when it kicks in around the 45 - 55 mph mark, and even then it's bareable. I personally love being able to hear the MDS kick in and out, I try to keep it in the MDS as much as possible now and my MPG's are improving because of it. I also went with single in dual out, exits behind each rear tire. I also agree with ThaChad on the exits before the rear wheel, definantly not my personal favorite, but to each his own. The guy that did mine also put the muffler a little further back, so it would be entirely under the bed, and not the cab, he did this to try a kill some of the resonance from the MDS for me...

Edit: oh yeah, total cost for muffler, pipes, tips, labor, $245 out the door.

That's cheap, cost me almost that to do mine myself and I have the same setup! I got a friend who bought an '06 just about a year ago as a leftover, local muffler chain shop quoted him $522 BEFORE TAX, on the same setup, and he said that was the best quote he got outta three places.
Labor for anything is high as hell down here in Florida and the quality of work, in general, sucks. And the pay sucks, so I gotta figure a lot of business owners are getting rich down here...
