Default Factory Sirius satellite antenna question

Does anyone out there know if the factory satellite antenna works with aftermarked receivers? Or am I going to have to change the plug? I would hate to have to use an aftermarket antenna when there's a good looking one already on top of the truck...

I HATE the factory sound system, but I'm not willing to give up my Sirius...

I think the antenna can be used, but not the sirius receiver box that hooks up to the factory radio. You may need to change the connector on the antenna though. I've even heard of a guy who changed the connector on the antenna and was able to get XM through the factory antenna.

Yeah I knew I would have to switch the Satellite reciever box. but it's good to hear the antenna can be used....

hmmmm, another question though, is the factory receiver box close to the head unit, or is it hidden in a different location in the truck???

Here's what the manual says. I've also heard of it being located behind the glovebox though, so if you don't find it where the manual states, it may be behind there.
