Default Any one useing a Brite Box?

I have a 2004 Ram and I am considering adding a brite box/fogster kit with the bulbzilla upgrade. I called them and they also offer it with a slave wire output for auxilary lighting relays as well. Is any one using this and if so how do you like it, and have you had any problems? I live in Northern British Columbia and have to be on the lookout for the likes of Yogi, Bambi, Rocky & Bullwinkle, not to mention days are short here in the winter months!

I had a brite box on my ford and loved it. What is the bulbzilla upgrade? Does it just change out the wiring for larger more powerfull lights.

I am and I love it. PM me and I'll shoot you some pics, although it's hard to judge much of anything by pictures, huh?

Bulbzilla upgrade allows you to use 9005 bulbs in the fogs instead of the factory 9006s. The 9005 lights put out more lumens of light.

Here's the info.

I have the stage III+ builbzilla and don't regret it for a moment. Combined with the Hella 500's it makes things VERY visible. No hassles with HID kits that are difficult toinstall and can be problematic. No wiring problems - it's all plug and play.

I boughta set of the Brite Boxes with FLC for my RAM. The first one melted over the summer. The second one melted tonight on the way home. I HIGHLY recommend against them unless you want your truck to burn up. Want to see a video?

I wonder if the fuse was too large? i just melted my headlight connector last week with aftermarket bulbs, let alone running both the high beam and low beam together. I'm going to have to devise a way to keep wires from burning up... maybe a circuit breaker is in the works.

There's a lot of guys running 9005's in the fogs without any aftermarket parts. All that you need to do is trim the top tab a bit, remove the plastic prongs inside the bulb connector, and add an extra gasket for a tight fit. However, I'd recommend researching this a bit before anyone tries it, those 9005's pull more wattage than the 9006's. 65W vs. 55W [/align]
