Well I took it back to the dealer and took a long test drive with their shop foreman....he agreed that it was loud and sounded like a exhaust leak.
They gave me a rental truck for the day because i live a couple towns over from where I bought the truck.

He called me back and told me it was normal again[:@] and that it's probably combustion noises. I didn't believe him so we went on a couple test drives with similar single cab 07 hemi's and guess what...they all made the noise! So my truck still sounds like *** but I guess it's normal....i'm thinking it has something to do with the MDS though.

Yep, my 07 w/1500 miles makes the same noise. I'm pretty sure it's the MDS sinceI can control it with the throttle.

Oh yeah, new here. 07 QC 2wd Laramie

I have an 07 also and that soundis not normal....anyways..get you an aftermarket exhaust and you will not be able to hear...get magnaflow si/do for the mds and you will be pleased with the mds drone...its very mild. My exhaust is dumped before the rear axle.

Oh yea i'm definitely going to get a magnaflow catback...I had one on my LS1 and I loved it's manners and straight-through design. I've read different opinions about the stock resonators though...some leave just one on and some take both off[sm=confused06.gif]

It's kinda good to hear that someone else's truck makes the same noise....but it sucks that you have to listen to it too. I should've test drove it with the windows down...heh.

my new '08 makes that sound when the MDS is on (from what I can tell). I hear it when I hit around 18MPH til about 25MPH just cruising up my street. If you gun it, or hit the TOW/HAUL mode, it goes away, which is what made me think it was the MDS. here's another thread that sounds similar - https://dodgeforum.com/m_529970/tm.htm
