I dont think the AEM brute force intake works for our engines? Maybe im wrong. I have the Jet stage 1 pcm....I can tell you now it really helped. Not a signicant notice in power, but it set the RPM's, etc. to a much more efficient level. I also run a Flowmaster Super 40 series exhaust, and an AFE air filter. Frankly, I'd love to do more but Im just not sure what else is really out there.

Well, the factory computer had set a certain limiter on the RPM's so that the truck couldnt be revved past about 3000 rpms. With the jet chip installed, it changed that to about 5000. It also helped change the shift points so that the truck isnt lagging in any certain gear

i have stage 2 and i have seen a decent change. but the difference in stage 1 and stage 2 is the timeing. stage 2 is simply more agressive. i have a 6 speed so there is no rev limiter so i assume that that is an auto thing. i know there is a brute force for our truck let me find it and i'll post the link.

so does the stage 2 actually give you a bigger gain over the stage 1 or is it just something else to lower your gas mpg?? lol

im not sure about the stage 2, but im thinking about buying it. I highly doubt itll affect the mileage much. I would think it would actually help improve it....

You have to use premium gas with the stage 2 so it will cost you more. I think your also supposed to have a 180 degree stat and maybe a few other things.

From what I was told, most of the time a stage 1 chip will help MPG's, and a stage 2 will keep them about the same, but on more expensive premium unleaded. The problem is when most people install the stage 1 or stage 2 chip, the know they have a power adder and tend to drive more aggressive, thus lowering the fuel milage! The same thing goes for exhaust & cold air intakes. (Although I know for a fact that if you let the exhaust back-pressure get too low, or too high, it WILL reduce the MPG's.) As for preformance, read the old post's in here. Just about everything that can be done/said has been done or said in the past allready. WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!
