Stereo head unit install on '02 QC?
I have searched but not found out how to remove the factory head unit in my '02 QC. I figured, like most vehicles, the dash must be taken apart in a certain order but like I said, I could not find help.
If anyone here can be of assistance, I would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for such a sucky first post.

go to sumitvista.com, they have a 3000 page service manual for rams, they dont have it for 2002, but i think they are the same interior as 2003. that may help. i also do know that there is one screw behind the grocery hook, and that center section snaps off independanty, havent done it in a whils though, slow and careful.
Parts/Service:
Awesome information - that helped me too. Question along the same lines: I have a satellite reciever that I want to install in my 04 Ram 1500. I see that the antenna feed has a plug can be tapped intobehind the glove boxon the right so signal should not be a problem. I am going back and forth between how I want to get power to the radio because I plan on trading it in in April of 09 for an 09 Ram (will be my third Dodge Ram 1500).I can either plug it into the 12v outlet or cigarette lighter, or I can wire up an extra socket and tap into a switched 12 volt power source. If I go that route, I was thinking of getting some wire clamps that bite into the wires to tap into them (forgive me, I don't know what they're called). and going off the pink/green (I believe its pink/green ) wire and the ground off the back of the existing radio harness (its an RBK) then I can hide all of that behind the dash.
My questions are : If I go theroute of wiring up an extra socket,do you see any reason why I need to disconnect the battery to do this (airbag)??
Also,if you know of a better way of getting the 12v switched power feed I would be all ears....(and by better I guess I would mean less taking apart the vehicle or messy)or maybe you would know if I would be stressing that circuit too much by adding the drain from the satellite radio.
Thanks,
Joe
