02 Dodge Ram Deisel
Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forums, and had a question.
I have an 02 dodge ram deisel 4X4, and I need to do a complete brake job including, resurfacing rotors(all 4) and changing all the pads Including the E-brake pads.
I've never changed brakes on my dodge yet and was wanting to get some advice before I go and mess something up, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

well there are two other sections you could go to to ask this question.... you have a second gen ram... so you can go there or to the ctd section.... the brakes on are trucks are different so we probaly wouldnt be as helpful....
Well the pads are kinda easy, but if you need to have the rotors "turned" to eliminate any squeaking or shaking then that will have to be done at a shop. Some Pepboys will turn the rotors if you take them in and wait, but sometimes it is easier just to let them do it. My main question would be, Have you ever done a break job before? If not, I would not attempt to do this one by yourself with out having someone help you that knows what they are doing. My first brake job (almost 16 yrs ago), took me almost 5 hours and several phone calls to a buddy of mine that was a mechanic. Now, I can do one (if I don't take any breaks) in an hour or so.
Thanks for the replys guys,
Sorry about posting in the wrong section.
I've done many brake jobs before, but they have all been on 90' or earlier vehicles and have never delt with abs before, my main concern right now would be the back brakes.
Beinghow they are disk as well as drum(e-brake) Is kinda new to me, also does removing the rotors require aspindal nuttool?, or are they just slip off rotors?
Sorry to ask such silly questions, I just wanna make sure I do the job right.
Thanks
