RE: suspension lift question
alrighty, well 17 sounds good than. 17" X what size though? And i only got the 20's cause i got a very good deal on this truck, but i plan on keeping them when i get new ones cause i figured they might be better than 17"s with a 35" tire, as far as a long road trip goes?

RE: suspension lift question
A 17x9 would be great for a 35x12.5x17 tire (very common lifted truck size). Look for about 4.5" of backspacing and, of course the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5. As far as brand, look, material (chrome, steel, aluminum, etc.) that's pretty much up to your tastes and wallet depth!!!
A smaller tire on your 20" wheels would be a great swap for long trips on pavement, a 20" wheel with a lower profile tire is in it's element on pavement.

I am looking for the all black look, note the Night Runner package, so I ordered the Pro Comp Black Knights. Check my gallery and you can see a pic or two of them with Nitto 35X12.5's Extreme MT's mounted. I opted for the 17X9" rims because I prefer the look of sidewall to wheel anyday. Now all I need to do is get the guy that is going to help me put my lift on back in town!!

No prob hammer. Just admiring a nice truck when I see it. I don't catch a lot of red rams down in CA so its quite eye appealing to see such a fancy one. But goin back to the topic, what exactly do you want to try and achieve lift-wise and bigger tire-wise proachbass? Because I know everyone from guys that have lowered their truck to guys who have gotten 10-12 inch lifts, etc... As hammer and the other guys were saying, I think it would be safe to stick with a 3-4 inch lift with 35" tires and whatever rim size you deem right. I frankly enjoy having smaller rims because for one, I know if my tires hit nails or anything of the sort, they wont just explode like wafer-tires on some of the bigger rims will.....that and the fact that it provides a smoother overall ride both on and off road...

Well I would have to say if your gonna spend the Money for the 4" Rancho, you would be better off getting the Pro Comp 6" System. The Extra ground clearence is really important even if your only Mudding alittle.
Prices Ive Found
Rancho 4" system $1300-$1500
Pro Comp 6" lift level 1 $1300-$1400
Pro Comp 6" Lift Level 2 $2100-$2300, This system comes with MX2.75c Front Coilovers,
that allow you to adjust pressure on the coils, meaning harder or soft ride, also adjust the shock damping.
Pro CompSite http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/07cat/26-27.pdf
The normal 6" lift is a spacer type design same with the rancho
Tax Time I am going with Pro comp 6" Lift, 20" black rims, with Nitto Mud Grapplers
I I do Mudding, First day I had My truck I went to the Mud, with street Tires

Overall i think id like to o with a 4" lift, but a good quality one, and probably 17" rims, 35 " tires. Im pretty much trying to achieve a good look, with functionality enough to take it mudding from time to time.
