Default 3yr/36,000 warranty

I'm getting to the end of this warranty and was wondering if there is something I should look at before it goes away. Should I have it inspected at the dealer before it lapses? I don't have any problems up to this point and I change all my own fluids. I will still be under the powertrain warranty.

The truck was purchased new and it was a last years model for those of you who are doing the math, being that mine is an 04.

04s have a 7/70 powertrain as well, keep that in mind.

By the way, I would think your warranty was up already. Warranty starts at the time you buy. This means you would have had to buy after Nov 5th 2004 to still have warranty (05s had been out for a couple months at that point). I guess you could have found a left over 04.

My 05 runs out in April

yeah rear diff is covered under the 7/70....if you can, i would try and buy a Corporate service contract (the one offered by Dodge) just so then that way if something does happen it's pretty much 100% guaranteed to be covered with the service contract

I did check for the clips when I changed my rear diff and mine was fine. My brother has an 03 and we found the clips in his and it was fixed under warranty. I am not worried about the rear diff because that is still covered under the 7/70. I just thought I would throw the topic out there and see if anyone had some useful info I might not have thought of. I have been very happy with truck and hope the good luck continues. I plan on running this one for a number of years.
