my truck!!!!!!!
i finally got it back from the dealer this afternoon. it has been in for almost a week to fix the c-clip issue. i walked up to the truck this afternoon and loked under the bed, they put in an entire rear end, shafts and all, all new, drives like a new truck, i am so happy i had to take a personal moment and kiss my truck right on the steering wheel. the total cost fo the repairs was over $3400, i paid 107.00 gotta loke the 7/70 warranty. the dealer did good work, they had to re align it like four times to get rid of all the whine and all, thats what took so long. i really love my truck. oh, i need another personal moment.

RE: my truck!!!!!!!
very nice...however, i dont want to rain on your parade but take it easy for awhile...the plant that manufactures the rearends likes to set everything at the high end of the spectrum (ring backlash from there is usually .008", ideally it would be closer to .004") may not sound like much, but you'd be suprised (i dont think those are the exact specs, but i'm pretty sure it's not too far off) either way, enjoy it and just remember you still have the warranty so dont be afraid to use it

Don't run it at highway speeds for more than about 15 minutes either and allow a propper cool down. Feel the diff cover after you drive it now, that sucker will get HOT. Make sure to change the fluid at atleast 1000 miles but after a new diff set up I prefer to do it at 500 and 1000. Just take it real easy for the first 1000 miles or you will end up destroying that rear end in the long run.
