Default Light Out Warning

Recently the light out signal on my 02 Ram dash came on and started blinking and beeping. I found out my third brake light was out. After a few days of going crazy with the beeping noise I replaced bulb and it has stopped. The problem I have is that the light is still on and gives me one beep once and awile. Is there anyway to reset computer so it goes out like by disconnecting battery. I hope I don't have to bring it in to dealer every time a bulb burns out. Any help would be appreciated.

You might still have a bad bulb somewhere. You need to check all the bulbs on the truck.

FYI, you can also just unhook the battery for a few minutes to clear the computer.

If there are no bulbs that are out,you will have to replace the socket assembly to one or both sides in the rear.Disconnecting the battery will not make this light go out.It will go out on its own as soon as the bulb check checks out ok.
