AM radio inop
Well, this is on me since I never check out the radio ona test drive. I'll usually just turn it on and make sure it works and then shut it off to listen to vehicle sounds.
FM works just fine but on AM there's no sound at all. Not static, just silence.
I have a Kenwood removable face AM/FM CD I can put in but before I do that I'd thought I'd ask if there's something that might just disable AM that I could check to attempt to enable it.

i've seen fm-mods from aftermarket video systems block AM even when the toggle switch is turned off, if you have a rear entertainment system or a portable satellite radio this could be a possibility...
just get a nice sat-ready deck and switch to xm or sirius :-)

do they still have AM radio??? Just kidding. I didnt know anyone actually listened to that anymore.
I guess you have to ask yourself if you are really concerned with having the AM portion or not. I dont believe they have a AM diable feature on the trucks, I have owned several and never heard of it before.

Yeah, we in the "vast, right-wing conspiracy" use it to get our marching orders.

anyway... if you dont have the manual for it you could probaly get it off the manufacturers website... see if it disables or anything.. if you have no luck there than you will prolly have to pull the headunit and check your connections....
