Dies at light, need help.
Hey. First its a 04 Hemi QB. Just turned over to 30k. Got the plugs done a couple weeks ago. Ran perfect after that. Lately i did the tranny and diff change. I ran it about 6 miles or so a quart low after the change. It was during that time and after i noticed it doesn't have the power it use to. It feels like its taking off in second. Now the next day of driving it, it will die at a light. Take a few times for it to turn over agian, and restart. Any ideas? I dont see the tranny causeing any problems with it not running? Is my alternater going bad maybe? Any help please, thanks.

So you are saying:
You had a shop change the plugs 2+ weeks ago
You drove it and it ran fine
Then you changed the trans and F/R diff fluids
You drove it around the block and noticed the trans was low
It stalls at lights now
Is that correct? Did you properly fill the trans? What fluid did you use? What plugs did the shop put in your truck?

Need to know what stratusguy asked but I would take a guess at bad gas as well. I get the same thing happening if I put cheap gas in my truck. I usually run Sunoco, Mobil or Chevron but if I get stuck I end up putting Hess, Racetrak, or whatever is available. Sometimes I don't have a choice. When I do this, my truck doesnt run the same and ends up crapping out on me until I put the gas in that she likes. You can also try to add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. Now that you have new plugs, maybe your injectors are little dirty. This would be my best guess with the little info that you are giving.

Plugs on the Hemi are every 30k. You have to use the copper plugs.
Yes i used the ATF+4 is what i was told touse for dodge. I have it filled to the full line now. (tranny that is) and it still was crapping out at lights.
I was driving it today and was able to find out whats happening. However i dont know what is causing it. When i come to a stop. normally quicker then usual it dies. While im braking the see the rpms drop, normally down to 300 and then recover. If it goes any lower it does die. After i stop i hear it shift into first. AFTER IM STOPPED. And thats when it recovers. And when i take off it feels like it has no power, my guess, it feels like second gear im taking off in. Any help where to get started to look for whats wrong. Thanks.
Cliffs:
Come to stop rpms drop to low it dies.
After stopped it shifts into first.
Basically stops in 2nd gear.
Need help where to start?

Thanks for the idea. I dont think thats going to cause it to not shift into frist when braking. It seems to be stuck in too high a gear. What tells the tranny when to shift? A certain rpms should cause it to downshift. So what sensor or what tells it to do that?
