Foglights and high beams on at same time???
ORIGINAL: John M
I've always wondered why anyone cared enough to actually make a law against having fogs & high beams on at the same time. If your high beams are on it means nobody is in front of you to even see how many bulbs are on, much less be bothered by their output.
Some states specify the number of bulbs that can be on at once, so if you had a 4-light headlight system that used all 4 on high, the fogs would make 6 and that'd put it over the limit. Still, to me that's a moot point: see the first paragraph of this post.
Also, I don't know why anyone wouldn't want all the lights on at high beam. Again: if you've switched to high beams, you want/need all the light you can get in front of you so if the bulbs are present, let 'em fire up!

It's like giving another driver a wave, (Thanks) when he lets you cut in front of him.....You don't know how many times i've seen people allowed to cut in, and never thank the other driver.....you can always tell who's been driving the longest.....by these little actions.....

I got my fog lights as a last minute item. When they installed them they never updated the computer so they are not over-ridden. Yes it is a 2006. The tech stated he could change the settings but I asked him if he had to. The answer was nope - so I didn't do it.
I think if you have the capabilities unsnap your fog light connection, tell the computer you don't have them and then plug in the fog lights again. Presto.
Good Luck.

Does any one know if there is a way to keep the fog lights on when the high beams are turned on for a 2007 Ram???? Or even if there is a way to have the Highbeams, Low Beams, and Fog Lights on all at the same time?????

i have my highbeams and fogs work together... you just use a jumper wire in the fuse box... im not usin them all the time obviously but i drive on alot of back country roads and through the woods with plenty of deer... so i kinda gotta see!
Question, what are those on both sides, of the front of your vehicle? Are they antenna's?

The weekend I signed for my truck and was awaiting delivery I was in a motorcycle accident that broke my back and shattered my left wrist. In the hospital for over 6 weeks and in a torso cast for 11. A$$hole turned in front of me tailgating to get through a light on the way to work.
I didn't get to drive my truck for over three months. It sat in the driveway except when we had some spring flooding and she used it.
Any way, my wife was use to driving a Cabrio, (she has seen the light and now has aJeep Liberty) and had difficulty driving the truck in the city compared to her convertible. My local after market shop put on Bore's Guides that light up with the marker lights and with the turn signals. Now that she has driven the truck and her Jeep they aren't necessary but would leave me with a couple of holes in the bumper.
Now I just have 11 screws and two plates in me I didn't need or want before.
Just to confirm everybody else that had them added at the dealer, my 06 didn't come with them and I haf the dealer install them. The will stay on with my high beams. The only time I use both is out in the country where nobody is.
There is a add on unit for the CTD that does this. Would gesss it would work with the gassers. It is available through genosgarage.com. It is called the Fogster. It will keep the fog lights on along with the high beams.
Well yeah that's a given, you are never supposed to leave your highbeams on when somebody else is coming at you or is in front of you. The point is, is that its stupid you can't have your highbeams on with your foglights, it doesnt make sense. If one is using their highbeams, theoretically, there shouldn't be anybody else in the way to see them. So it's a moot law and does not make sense.
Willthis accomplish what you want? https://dodgeforum.com/m_548850/tm.htm
