Foglights and high beams on at same time???
Does any one know if there is a way to keep the fog lights on when the high beams are turned on for a 2007 Ram???? Or even if there is a way to have the Highbeams, Low Beams, and Fog Lights on all at the same time?????
No, it supposed to be like that. Techincally you aren't allowed to have foglights on when your highbeams on, thats why they automatically shut off no matter what year vehicle you have. But you can have like a stereo place custom fab it for you. I had that done, so when I turn my highbeams on, my foglights will still stay on, badass=)
When i made the deal on my 08 Ram I had the dealer install fog lights as part of the deal. And Yes they work with the High beams on, though I don't think they were suposed to. I didn't know this was illegal. Are you sure?
So in short they can and Mine do

lol you wouldnt ever get pulled over, nobody would know the diff. Yeah, I remember when I owned my neon. I had foglights put in it about 3 years later after I had the vehicle. Sure enough, when they put them in, the foglights still functioned when the highbeams were turned on. I think it's just something the factory does, but if you have them put in aftermarket, nobody really screws with it, it's kind of stupid tho.

I've always wondered why anyone cared enough to actually make a law against having fogs & high beams on at the same time. If your high beams are on it means nobody is in front of you to even see how many bulbs are on, much less be bothered by their output.
Some states specify the number of bulbs that can be on at once, so if you had a 4-light headlight system that used all 4 on high, the fogs would make 6 and that'd put it over the limit. Still, to me that's a moot point: see the first paragraph of this post.
Also, I don't know why anyone wouldn't want all the lights on at high beam. Again: if you've switched to high beams, you want/need all the light you can get in front of you so if the bulbs are present, let 'em fire up!

I got my fog lights asa last minute item. When they installed them they never updated the computer so they are not over-ridden. Yes it is a 2006. The tech stated he could change the settings but I asked him if he had to. The answer was nope - so I didn't do it.
I think if you have the capabilities unsnap your fog light connection, tell the computer you don't have them and then plug in the fog lights again. Presto.
Good Luck.
