Default Two Power Wagons, one mission

..to prove a stock Power Wagon can do things typically only Jeepers do.

A buddy of mine, who also has a Power Wagon, and I took a video camera out to Rio Puerco here in NM. In addition to some good pics, we got some phenomenal videos.

Guess it depends on the definition of expensive <grin>. Most of the PW folks I've talked to got theirs for $30K and under. I've seen some used '06s for about $26K.

They are a wicked truck. The times I've been out wheeling and run into people with highly modified vehicles and Jeeps, it's never failed to impress them. Especially when I tell them it's stock.

My wife thinks I'm bonkers for wheeling it (due to the cost of the truck), but I'm a very careful wheeler. So far no carnage on my truck except losing the front license plate bracket which most of the PW owners consider a rite of passage anyways. My buddy on the other hand has a heavy right foot. Heck he didn't even have his 24 hours before he put a big dent in the passenger rear door. <grin>

I got nothing but love for the older PWs. Those things were and still are hardcore. I have no doubt I could keep up with most of them. In fact TexasPowerWagon.com did just that.

I think though, that many of the older PWs had better ground clearance than I do, so that would be a big factor. If I put bigger meats on, it would most likely equalize out. <grin>

Great footage! Just the reason why I went with the Power Wagon instead of an F250.

Funny you should mention that.

The F250 Powerstroke didn't actually do too bad, but he definitely didn't have the articulation or ground clearance. The other F250 (V-10) didn't even attempt it.
