Waiting for my scheldule to get back to normal from the holidays... I did get it wet sanded and prepped for painting. Didn't actually get to painting it yet, as I noticed a couple of bad spots I had to go back over first. I'm not going to make any predictions as to when I'm going to get it done. I've decided to order another computer for it, something a little more sturdy, and mountable on the back wall behind the back seats, as I decided I didn't want to take up the room in my underseat storage compartment, and I kinda liked mfs212's setup of his amps. Might take me a little longer to get it done, but I think I'll like the finished product better.

Just wondering why you didn't consider mountingone of the Ultra Mobile PCs like the Samsung Q1 Ultra into the dash instead of the method you used?

I hate having to reply that I've got nothing done. I did order another computer for it, something smaller and mountable on the back wall behind the rear seat, decided I wanted the storage compartments. After I went through and wet sanded the bezel to get ready to prime it, I put the touchscreen in one more time to look at it in the truck. I noticed that the screen wasn't exactly flush across the top and the bottom, and I just couldn't have that, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do to get it built back up. Somehow it bowed inward, and it's just not right. You can't see it unless you're looking for it, but I know it's there, so it's going to be fixed.

bwinters, as far as your question goes.
1) that's WAY to expensive
2) The expansion capabilities aren't good enough; I wouldn't be able to get Sirius to hook up to it, nor would I be able to hook up a GPS receiver
3) The screen is smaller than what I wanted

That's it for now, don't worry guys, as soon as I have an update worth mentioning you guys will be the first to know!

Yea...those are the worst type of problems. The ones only you know exist, and every time someone tells you how great it looks all you can do is think in the back of your head "i guess they did not notice ___________"
