whats the best upgrade for ram??
What is the best horsepower upgrade for the dodge ram or the best combination of upgrades. I dont want to spend 5 grand for a supercharger but i would like to have a little more get up and go or alot more if possible. I have a Stage 2 jet chip in there right now, but all it seems to do is eat gas. If you have any advice let me know. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Reading the sections of the Field Service Manual (FSM) for your particular Ram is the best upgrade...and there are free pdf files of the FSM on the web for downloading, like on the lower left side here:

2nd best upgrade (also free) is to read all the official TSB's for your model year Ram, most of which (but not all) are here:

it is debatable what the 3rd best upgrade is:
.....perhaps going to a driver school like Bondurant, or Bridgestones Winter Driving Course, or a school about towing, or hiring "HyperMiler" teachers
.....perhaps buying a set of tires ideal for your use of the truck
.....perhaps buying a brake upgrade set like EGR

Now now guys.... don't get into a fight... I've seen some pretty fast diesels.... Also seen some fast gas engines as well.... all a preference on that part....
