What is the best horsepower upgrade for the dodge ram or the best combination of upgrades. I dont want to spend 5 grand for a supercharger but i would like to have a little more get up and go or alot more if possible. I have a Stage 2 jet chip in there right now, but all it seems to do is eat gas. If you have any advice let me know. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

 

I had a jet module in my Hemi at one time, had .5-1MPG less.

Dump it, get a SC programmer.

Ditch the Jet, those who have actually tested them found they degraded performance. Then it's Cat-Back Exhaust, CAI & Tuner, in that order...

it is debatable what the 3rd best upgrade is:
.....perhaps going to a driver school like Bondurant, or Bridgestones Winter Driving Course, or a school about towing, or hiring "HyperMiler" teachers
.....perhaps buying a set of tires ideal for your use of the truck
.....perhaps buying a brake upgrade set like EGR

even if you are more interested in accelerating fast
than fuel economy
the same principles apply and
you can go faster by improving tires, aero and reducing weight...as well as raising the compression ratio of your engine or balancing the cylinders to be more equal to one another...all explained in that FAQ

Now now guys.... don't get into a fight... I've seen some pretty fast diesels.... Also seen some fast gas engines as well.... all a preference on that part....
