Default 6" Fabtech

does anyone out there have a 6" fabtech on a 2007 1500 2WD? i would love to see a picture possibly with a person standing doorside to get an idea of the size of the lift. i want a beefy look, but not too big. i have read some things about the fabtech not really giving 6". which, for me, would be a good thing.

Order it through FatBobsGarage. I got it through him (Bill I think is the owner) for $400 cheaper. Mine is sitting in the garage with the wheels and tires waiting to be put on It's killing me. Not sure about the not quite 6" issue. I believe TDMopar said that but don't quote me. Would let you know but am waiting right now.

Fabtech lift on a 4x4, specifically the '02-'05s is a little less than the rated 6". It's actually somewhere between 5 & 5.5". I know this, as a friend got one professionallyinstalled on his '04 and then couldn't fit 37's. When he inquired directly from Fabtech, that is what he was told. Procomp & Superlift also fall below the 6" mark, even though they all call them 6" kits. Only the Skyjacker is a true 6" and fits 37's with no other modifications. That said, I think anybody who tries to put 37" tires or larger on a relatively weak IFS truck is asking for trouble anyway.
I can only speak 1st hand on the '02-'05 4x4's though. I have no idea if 4x2 or '06+ kits are the same...

May have to wait until NEXT (not this) weekend to get it done. Family in for the weekend and I have to set up with the guy that owns the garage, so, if you can wait that long I will post pics the day I do it. BTW, I am not using the 20" rims, dropped to 17's with my 35's.

would still love to get a pick with someone standing beside their 4x2 with a 6" lift on it. would prefer it to be a fabtech, but i just want to get an idea of a relative size if i choose to go that route. have been looking into the topgunz rough country 3" lift and the performance CST 4", but have not been able to get anyone to install it and definitely don't have the know how to do it myself. any input here would be great...
