Have a cold start tick in my 4.7 (49,500 miles). A search turned up this thread about it: https://dodgeforum.com/m_555485/tm.htm
In searching I also read about some folks having bolts sheared off the manifolds. I will check that.
I'll just have to keep an eye (err, ear) on it.

I seem to have the same issue on my 5.9. I only noticed it after I switched to 92 octane though. Makes me wonder, I think I may go to a 87 tune on my superchip and see if it disappears.
How long does yours last and what does it sound like? Mine just makes a light tick for about 30 seconds.

I'm guessing about 30 seconds.
what grade of oil are you using ? some vehicles need a thinner oil in them . If you run a 10w30 the lifters might not be adjusting fast enough . hence the reason they tell ya to use 5w30 or 5w20 . I know i used 10w30 in my sprint ( long time ago ) and it ticked really bad at start up but when i switched to 5w30 tada everything was great !! just my thoughts ??

I'm betting on the latter since they forgot the additive for the anti spin.
Probably going to Mobil 1 at 50K (which is about 500 miles from now).
