hemi 1500 vs hemi 2500?
GO FOR THE 2500!!! i love mine solid axles thats the biggest difference!! pretty much the same performance.. maybe a lil worse on gas because its bigger and heavier... but its all good....
Do you get 13 around town. This truck I am looking at is a 2003 ram 2500 quad cab 4x4. It has a lift with 35in tires. Looks to be in good shape both visualy and mechanicly (according to the owner). It has 68000 miles and the guy is asking 17000 for it. It is the blue sport model

wow that looks real nice and with a solid axle those 35's arent gonna hurt much!! thats truck looks great!!! yea thats prolly around my mileage.. i got 35's on the way too...
The 1500 is gonna give you better gas mileage and a nicer ride. The IFS gives it an almost car like feel on pavement. However, if your gonna tow or lift it for bigger tires, your really gonna want the 2500.
I looked at a 1500 Laramie 4x4 and a 2500 SLT in '04 when I bought mine. I opted for the 1500 mainly for the leather seats (I had cloth in my older truck that were really badly stained red from Ga. clay mud & was getting beat up over the trade allowance for an otherwise mint trade in -- leather is just so much easier to just wipe clean with a wet towell) and I thought the 2500 unloaded bounced all over bumps when I test drove it and could only imagine it would jar my kidneys out off road. The 1500 Laramiealso had a much nicer interior and I thought it would better suite me. My wife and I had just split and she took the '02 Grand Cherokee, so this truck was also gonna have to be my daily driver.
I since have picked up a little 4 banger for a daily driver and recently sold it & bought a Grand Cherokee of my own for a DD. Based on the fact that my truck really didn't turn out to be a daily driver as first suspected, if I had it to do over again, I would buy the 2500, if for nothingelse, the more bulletproof solid front axle,in a heartbeat...
