My 2007 Ram Hemi Quadcab takes 10 miles or so of town driving to get to full temp..??? My guess Is the thermostatIs bad..?? At a stop the gauge will move a little hotter or colder... Whats your guess as to the slow to heat up ???? Doug

 

t-stat opening too early or stuck open.

 

if it is bad, they are designed to fail open, which could explain for the long warm up time. Its a cheap fix too.

 

sounds like waranty work to me !! Mine does not take near that long once i get about three minutes from the house i am blowing hot air thank god cause where i live it is getting cold -3 this morning

 

yeah, I've got to get this checked on my 07 also... Last night was the first cold night in my area that I really wanted some heat, but I wasn't blowing hot air until I was almost home (about 10 minute drive). I think my T-Stat may be bad as well...

Are you sure about that the trucks come with a fail-open t-stat? I've been trying to find a fail-open stat. Motorad seems to make 'em (I think), but good luck finding one.
