BFG is an awesome tire and would be my second choice... I voted other tho... Nothing beats Mickey Thompson... check out the ATZ
+1(kinda')

I've never been a big fan of BFG's, I had a set of AT's go bald on me & cup really bad with only about 25k miles on them, but that was probably about 16 or 17 years ago. Because of that experience, I've never given them a 2nd chance.
I've never owned Toyo's, but EVERYONE I know of that has them swear by them.

Where I agree with ole' Hanson, is that you can't beat a Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek tire...

for an M/T I have 33's of the Nitto Mud Grappler's on my dakota and I love them. If I wasn't to get the Nitto's I would have gotten the toyo M/T, so there's my opinion, nitto or the toyo.

If I was to get an A/T tire I would get the toyo open country's.

+1[:@], Yea, as much as I hate to, I gotta agree with the kid here. Great tire in the mud and on the trail, but the pavement wears them down in no time...

Choosing tires is always a compromise between on-road performance, off-road performance, price, etc. I have bought a few sets of BFG All Terrain KOs for a few different trucks, and I think they are great.Reasonable price, not too loud on thehighway, decent treadwear, and good mud/snow performance. A few years ago I had a set of them on a '96 Chevy K2500, and encountered a record-setting snowfall here in Maryland (23 inches). I was very impressed when that truck climbed hills in deep snow and went through hugedrifts with no problems.

Yeah my 98 has had two sets of BFG A/T's. They did great in Missouri snow and ice, and now they do great offroading in the Nevada desert. They don't wear out fast either. My personal favorite offroad tire is a Good Year Wrangler MTR. These tire are amazing off road and don't wear bad on road, they are just a little pricey. Here's my 98 with some BFG's.

I was going to suggest the Cooper Zeon LTZs from Discount Tire Direct like I have on my truck:

BUT they appear to no longer offer them in the 305 width I love so much. I had that size bookmarked and it now comes back "file not found" and they list 285 as their widest in 20 inch.
