For just a little more money
a highly effective nitrous kit can be purchased.

And then possibly blow your motor - for alot more money a highly effective direct port injection nitrous kit can be purchased and the risk of blowing your motor goes way down - cheap and nitrous should never be used in the same topic of discussion - besides we arn't talking about nitrous here HankL we are talking about CAI.

It would be interesting to check back in 25 years
and see how the lives of those who fell for CAI's
turned out,
compared to those who mod'ed their trucks in ways that worked.

Were sheep born for wolves to eat?

I really wish Hank would just list what he drives and what he does that makes him the expert he thinks he is - then maybe his posts would carry some credibility - cause right now they are just a nuisance.

The aftermarket air filter
don't filter as well
at the same time as
they clog up earlier.

sounds like a contradiction in terms! if it does not filter as well then it's letting more dirt thru, therefore should take longer to stop up. but don't let common sense stand in the way HanKL. took common sense removal 101 in college.

There was a past 'Off Topic' Dodgeforum post
about how much debt members were saddled with.

https://dodgeforum.com/m_746851/tm.htm

At least a few people who are CAI believers
have run up some substantial credit card bills.

I wonder if you divided Ram owners into
aftermarket CAI owners,
homemade air intake owners,
and stock air system owners
....and then found the average amount
of credit card balance and vehicle loans,
how would the three groups compare?

One of the worst situations seems to be when a pickup owner
already has a high amount of high interest credit card debt
and then decides to spend even more,
falsely thinking:
"Well this CAI will give me a MPG gain and will pay for itself"

Are sheep born for bankers to fleece over and over?
