I have an 04 Hemi QC 4x2 and it has developed a rattle. When stopped and the truck is in drive (under a little load), there is a rattle that seems to resonate under the passenger seat. I remember seeing something similar to this in another post where the cause was either a loose muffler or muffler hanger.

Can anyone confirm this and possibly add what their solution was?

PS: My truck has a completely stock exhaust

 

If is sounds like "tin" rattling, I'd say a heat shield on the converters, or something of that nature.

 

Yea, it does kind of... I'll check that too.

 

Occasionally, mine rattles when I'm at idle, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet to try and figure it out. Let us know if you find it.

 

i had that problem, with mine it was loose pipes, the dealer could not fix it, so i had to take it to a muffler shop, they welded on another hanger and it fixed the problem right away

 

I found a QC truck once where it had a rattle.The cause was a muffler clamp hitting the crossmember.It had apparently been pointing down.I simply turned the clamp 90 degrees and retightened it. Hope this helps.
