Default replacement 17" street tires

not a big fan of the goodyears my 07 Ram 1500 3.7/six speed came with. I like rib treads for highway and front axle use on 2x4 trucks. This truck uses the P245/70R17 tire size.

The local tire store sells a lot of cooper tires, at a very reasonable price. Has anyone here tried or used the Cooper Discover H/T tires? It is the "premium" highway rib tread. They claim low noise, excellent dry road grip and good wet road grip, with high expected lifespan.

Bridgestone Alenza's here. 265/70x17. Good grip wet & dry. Great treadwear (600) Might consider 285s, but these don't come that big. Don't expect to need tires for three years or so.
