need help with tire rim combo

i have a set of Mickey Thompson rims ( 17 - 10 i think)and i need to know if they will fit my 07 QC. the bolt pattern measures right but their not quite fitting in. the tires on the MT's are cooper 315/75-r16 m&5

the tires are 316/75/16 the rims are 16's and 16 inch rims wont fit on a 3rd gen ram... the smallest is a 17 because of the brake size....

thats what i figured, but my brother said i could grind on the caliber to give it the clearance. i just didn't want to start grinding if it was possibke with out.

it is likely that it is possible to grind some off of the caliper to make them fit, however, the wheel opening is that big for a reason. You really want at least a 17 to cool the brakes, you go smaller than that and less cooling air will get to the calipers pads and rotor and you will end up with a miriad of brake issues. Bottom line, smaler then 17" = unsafe

yea i wouldnt start grinding away my calipers.... not a good idea... you rims are 16's because the tire tells you that.... just measure directly across....

fom edge of rim to the other edge of rim says 17.

If you go grinding away on that, you are going to have a very unsafe situation. Sadly, if you are intent on changing out your existing tires and rims, you are going to have to purchase a minimum 17" set. The MT's are very good rims, by the way, I have a set of 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic II's and love them.
