This is what I have been looking for tires that are fitting under my truck. I have a ST so no leveling kit. 33"s will fit eh what if I can only get them in a 33" x 12.5" will they still work?

I am a huge fan of the BFG Mud Terrains. The oilfield guys around here use them and get about 60,000 out of a set. Most of their driving is on gravel and mud. So my vote is for BFG Mud Terrains.

My buddy runs the Coopers on his DOdge and they were done in 1 year yet my other buddy has them on his Tacoma and he has about 20 or 30 thousand in them. Figures he might get 45 or 50 if hes lucky.

I got the Hankook 31570R17's with the leveling kit.... at $200 a tire and the off road use I do... can't beat em

Nitto Terra Grapler. Good in the mud, not too noisy on the street, not bad on price. I think goodyears and generals are worthless unless you like tires that seperate. If you want a good tire that is really just for the mud the the Bridgestone Duler MT is a good choice but a little noisy for my taste. BFGs are a pain to balance and rarely take just a little weight to balance. Personally im not a big off roader but know plenty who are and installed plenty of tire with lots of feedback. For my factory size 20s I am going to get Bidgestone Duler HL Alenza's because they have a good ride, are quiet, and will last for a lot longer than the factory wranglers ever will, plus they are cheaper so you cant go wrong with a cheaper tire and better quality.

 

Dick CEPEK FC II'S will be my next tire, because it is the best at both worlds, on and off road. If I was going to get a mud tire it would be the Toyo Mud Terrain's with out a doubt, they are the nicest looking mud out there IMO and a quality tire.

 

I have GOODYEARS 265/70/17 Wranglers AT/D2 . I live in FL. where it rains a lot. Also I'm 40 and do like the Michelin's drive and long life. Truck has 65,000 and on second set.

 

Th</SPAN>is post got me thinking in more detail about the tires on my 04 4.7 4dr. the search indicated that thier SAM's Club only. The post were dated back in 05 and some as early as 07. Is this still the case on the GOODYEAR WRANGLER 265/70/17 AT/D2. If anyone know?

Also I attempted a search on this Forum on tire presure To no avail. Tire list 44psi max. I haven't check the vehicle's door. I'm running with no load. thinking about changing all to 40 psi or lower. I'll do it tomorrow if no one on this site stops me. I'll do it... I mean it..

 

Cooper Discoverer ATR or Cooper Discoverer ST depending on your aggressive preference.

 

you're running at 44 psi?!?! you need to air those down way below 40. something like 32/35. gonna bald those things pretty bad running 44 psi
