Yeah not a good idea. Definitely not the kind of stuff I would be running thru my fuelsystem.

I tried it many year ago in my '01 Ram. It made very small increases in mileage. In fact, in my case, it was so small that I didn't think it was worth hassleing putting it in the tank. lol.

 

Acetone results for increased fuel mileage are false, at best. It allegedly increases the ability for fuel to burn more complete, (Increasing oxygenation) yet studies under controlled testing enviroments have show very little, if any increase, on a consistent basis. Increases were linked to driver's habits, more then any additive.

If increasing fuel mileage was as easy as dumping Acetone in your tank, Acetone would be flying off store shelves, as gas tops $4.00+ a gallon, across the country.

Now stop posting this stupid crap. I'll be back.....I'm off to Pep-Boys togo buy a Tornado, and increase not only my fuel mileage, but increase horsepower by 10-15%......

 

I attached a hose to a hole on the driver sit. I thought methane will give a boost on the mpg and performane. Let me tell you . . . dont light a cigarrete with the windows up.
